Entertainment Weekly:
Content Branding
The team at Versus recently worked with Time Inc.’s Entertainment Weekly Magazine to create brand identities across the digital video space, and build and implement robust toolkits for in-house teams to quickly and easily customize all video content
Project Components
For EW, Versus built a bold look around the familiar logo, with sub-packages to clearly highlight its five main verticals: movies, television, music, books, and games. In addition to the design deliverables for each vertical, Versus also crafted overall opens and closes for Entertainment Weekly Productions, and unique opens for original segments such as “Must List” and “Story Behind the Story.”

Versus exclusively used Shutterstock content to achieve a timeless feel not tied to any particular celebrity or pop culture moment, augmenting images to fit the brand palette. All brand elements were loaded into five flexible custom toolkits and delivered to EW editors to implement into their current workflow.
